‘Twilight’s Taylor Lautner’s ‘Abduction’ Gets Pay TV Release Date, Coming Early (Video)
So here’s the issue that LionsGate hopes to test and answer. Sales and rentals of DVD’s is dropping faster than a blue chip stock on Wall Street and there’s a lot of concern about the future of the industry. So the big time movie company is going to take one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and put him to the test, featuring Twilight‘s Taylor Lautner in the upcoming action thriller Abduction 90 days after its theatrical release via video on demand.

So here’s the timetable for all of you Taylor Lautner fans. Abduction is set to hit your local movie theater on September 23rd. You will be able to get the movie via pay television on December 23rd but for only 10 days. That’s it. And the DVD release is set for sometime in January.
And get this. Normally when new movies are released via pay television users have a $29.99 fee for being able to view the flick at home. Well Taylor Lautner’s Abduction will be tested at the really low rental price of $6.99 in standard def and $7.99 in high def during that10 day period.
All video on demand options will have access to the film including retailers WalMart and Best Buy.
