Is She or Isn’t She Out of Rehab? The World Wants to Know …Where is Kim Richards?

December 30th, 2011 No comments

So we reported several weeks ago the rehab visit Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reality person Kim Richards.  Yes friends another reality character goes wacko on a Bravo television show and makes the right decision to spend 30 to 60 days drying out at a clinic in the middle or nowhere surrounded by a bunch of other people who have no self control.

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS

Kim Richards from 'THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS'

But put all that aside.  The search is now on for Kim Richards.  Where is she and did she leave or is she still in the rehab joint.

Curious writers and readers want to know.  OK actually the only people that want to know are the viewers who watch this show but doing stories about any Real Housewives meltdown is always a blast.  A true joy.

People Magazine reported recently that Kim Richards has left rehab.  It was an inpatient program that she dropped herself in to after acting crazy on the show’s first two season runs.   But the story of her departure was not confirmed that she left the program according to the Hollywood Reporter.

So who do we believe?  The Hollywood Reporter or People Magazine?  Eeenie, meenie, miney, mo?

Yeah that’s about the best we can offer you at this point.  But we’ll let you know as soon as we know.

First ESPN Drunks, Now Beverly Hills Housewife Kim Richards Heads to Rehab

December 6th, 2011 No comments

Bad news is that Kim Richards taste for a nice glass of whatever alcoholic beverage of her choice was too often.  Much to often for the cast member of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills according to some of her close friends.

Kim Richards and Taylor Armstrong, 'Real Wives of Beverly Hills' on Bravo

Kim Richards and Taylor Armstrong, 'Real Wives of Beverly Hills' on Bravo

Two pieces of good news for Kim Richards.  First she’s headed to rehab for her heavy use of the fire water.  Second she’s probably going to get a lot of visual time on Bravo’s next version of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because this is a big story for those who care about this reality show.

With the ratings for the genre on Bravo there seems to be a lot of interest in anything having to do with housewives.

OK keep it clean here dude!

The former child TV performer spent a lot of time last go round of the series getting ripped by her sister for her drinking issues.  She kept denying she had issues and that’s exactly what peeps do when confronted by friends and family on substance abuse.

Seems the intervention worked for her.  Last month Kim Richards mentioned that she was taking anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medication along with anti-seizure medication that some say helps to curb alcoholism.  Guess the days of cold turkey and AA meetings have passed.

In the meantime Taylor Armstrong, one of her cast members who has has some serious personal issue of her own, said “I adore Kim and stand behind her.”   Taylor Armstrong was interviewed on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live.  She’s pitching her new personal bio of her tragic life with a new book titled Hiding Reality: My Story of Love, Loss and Finding the Courage Within.

Michaele Salahi Not Kidnapped, On a ‘Journey’ with Neal Schon

September 14th, 2011 No comments
Yes these people, Tareq and Michaele Salahi are truly bottom-feeders of the worst kind.  There was no kidnapping as reported by TMZ.com earlier int the day.
Seems she, let all sing now, “Michaele’s got a boyfriend!”

Neal Schon from 'Journey' in Concert on NBC's "Today Show"

TMZ.com ran a story that Michaele Salahi, half of the duo known as the White House gate crashers and part of the only Real Housewives franchise in Washington ever canceled, had been kidnapped.

Nope!

She’s on tour with the rock band Journey or more direct she’s apparently left her doofus husband Tareq and is doing what all female dingbats do at her age of mid life crisis and is hanging with band guitarist Neal Schon.  Journey is on tour in Memphis right now and Michaele contacted authorities to tell them she was fine.

Now I would have checked the tour bus to see if this was for real but cops say the investigation is over but Don’t Stop Believing.  That is don’t stop believing that they never took this missing persons case seriously because nobody takes Tareq or Michaele Salahi seriously.

Michaele and Tareq Salahi

In a statement to TMZ.com earlier today, Tareq said “Michaele Salahi may have been kidnapped or  abducted and being held under duress and forced to tell persons including authorities she is okay.”

Yeah, okay on a tour bus you moron.

Bottom line anything is possible with these people and apparently anyone connected to the Real Housewives franchise on Bravo is capable of anything,  which just keeps the ratings going up and up.

On a personal note this couple ranks behind George and Cindy Anthony (Casey’s Mom and Dad) as two of the worst hyped media losers in the world.

‘Wall $treet Wives’ Coming Maybe, Yet Destined for the Canceled Bin

July 16th, 2011 No comments

So one of two things will happen to this show.  It will either live a full life on a nobody heard of network or have a short life on a well know network, failing miserably because the producers don’t know much about the American TV viewer.

Or any country’s TV viewers.  So let me say this to the people who think Wall $treet Wives has a chance for success out of the gate.

It doesn’t.

Michaele Salahi and Stacie Turner from 'Real Housewives of D.C.'

The New York Times ran a story about a new show that’s yet to find a network but is in pitch stage called Wall $treet Wives. And of course with the Real Housewives franchise on Bravo along with two series on VH1 featuring Basketball Wives, success in watching wives on TV is profitable for each network.  But what sells this to viewers?  What’s the hook?

Listen up Wall $treet Wives producers, the sell and the hook is drama.  Period.  The Times articles cites reasoning for why networks have balked at the idea of green-lighting the show and it all makes sense to this writer.  “They all wanted this ugly catfight scenario,” said show idea creator Devon Fleming in an interview with the New York Times.

Well, Devon, ya think?

The success of the Real Housewives and Basketball Wives relies on one thing.  Conflict between those onscreen and nothing more will bring in viewers to any show of this nature.  There’s nothing else this viewer wants to see but drama which when you have a show full of women, well that leads to catfights.  Once again, ya think?

Yeah, that line could get me in some serious trouble in Los Angeles.  Fortunately my wife and girlfriend don’t read my blog.

Wall $treet Wives has put out a casting call actually asking for women to apply to be on the show and in the verbiage said the type of drama associated with the Bravo and VH1 hit shows would not be tolerated on this new effort.  Which means it’s headed for the canceled bin.  Just like Real Housewives of DC, which because of its upscale content less drama and catfights, could not make the Bravo cut.  And this was the first segment of the Real Housewives franchise that’s been canceled.

Devon Fleming
Devon Fleming

Wall $treet Wives, well that’s your future should it stick with its concept of being too, too upscale.  “This one will be fun and not about crazy women having catfights,” says the casting call outreach.

The show has been in pitch stage for four years now with no takers and no wonder why on a reason. But Ms. Fleming seems set on moving forward with casting and putting together a sizzle reel to show to more Hollywood producers.  This one will be a tough slog for her and partner Sammi Mendenhall who has cast two shows on cable television.  But both ladies need to understand today’s television viewer and ask themselves what’s the best way to get their content green-lit by a network.  The way they are going, well good luck on that one.

Here’s the deal on today’s television viewers.  And it’s time to be for real.  Everyone is in to dumb-down TV.  No matter whether you have a 6th grade education or an MBA from Wharton, we all want to know who “is the father” on a Maury are you my baby daddy episode.  It crosses all boundaries.  Bravo would not be creating different content from different cities with their Real Housewives franchise based only on low end viewers.  What’s next for Bravo?  Could be the Real Housewives of Inglewood with the constant success of that network’s top reality programs.  It’s just a fact and if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em as the song says.

This is the real world, not Fairfield or Westport, Connecticut.

I see pitches and sizzle reels from producers every day and can tell a minute in whether a show has a shot at getting a meeting for a show pitch.  And if you’re reaching out to a 60 Minutes audience with a reality show, chances are you’ll be spending an enormous amount of time and money to get nowhere.

Google Snookie.  Case closed.

Surprise! Surprise! ‘Real Housewives of New York/New Jersey’ Sued

June 16th, 2011 No comments

Or should we say no “surprise, surprise!” as once again a story about a member of a TV reality show getting in hot water with the law.  Now I have to admit that I am done calling these people reality “stars” as almost every month, which is now getting to almost every week, we see a story about one of these regular people caught up in a legal beef.

Now we know not to call these people “stars” anymore because a star is Brad Pitt.  A star is Halle Berry.  If they walked past me, I might know who they are.  If Cindy Barshop or Teresa Guidice walked past me, slapped me, pulled a gun on me, ran me over with their car and survived, I would have no clue how to identify them or even pick them out of a lineup.

Cindy Barshop from 'The Real Housewives of New York City'

But there are people who know and care to know who they are.  Because they’re both being sued.  Cindy Barshop from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York is facing a discrimination lawsuit from one of her former workers at her spa.  Altovise Collier says she applied online to work at the shop  and was hired but Barshop’s people didn’t know she was African American.  She was the subject of pay half of her co-workers in the same position and subjected to verbal taunts as well. She was fired shortly after complaining and Barshop says it was because of “the quality of her work” according to a story in the New York Post.

I’m not taking sides or anything but is it that hard to do a good job at a spa?  Here comes the law firm of Rabinowitz, Rabinowitz and the other Rabinowitz.

Teresa Guidoce from Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'

Teresa Guidice from Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'

Then come Teresa Guidice from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey.  She got in to a bar brawl with her husband versus another couple in the Dominican Republic and once they found out she was a reality “star” they are now suing.  Guidice is accuses of spraying a bottle of champagne on the opposing couple and mocking the woman’s mother-in-law when the beverage got in her eyes.  Once again the law firm of Rabinowitz, Rabinowitz and the other Rabinowitz gets the case.

Guidice’s attorney says she acted in self defense as she was physically assaulted by a member of the other team.  He told People Magazine that “they are looking at an opportunity to look in to someone else’s pocket” which seems like a dumb statement since Guidice and her husband filed for bankruptcy to the tune of  $11 million.

Ludacris Might Say “How Low Can You Go?” Ask Danielle Staub, ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ (Video)

May 17th, 2011 No comments

That’s what they will be asking and playing on turntable one and two for former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub after this new gig that she just sign a three year contract to perform.

And we do mean perform.Danielle Staub

Danielle Staub

Danielle Staub, who has recently been linked in a lip lock by singer and reality star Ray J, is now the main focus of one of New York City’s hottest strip clubs.  Scores Gentleman’s Club has hired the 48 year old Staub to do one live appearance and spend the rest of her contractual duties creating content for ScoresLive.com.

Now I’ve never been to Scores Gentleman’s Club in New York but one friend told me about the place.  Yeah he and a group of friends took a bachelor party there one night and the whole group left head first, being tossed out of the joint.  There were lawsuits, injuries, police activity and I tend to ignore all of the above so Scores was never on my ‘to do’ list.

But it is now on Danielle Staub’s ‘to do’ list which shouldn’t be much of a transition since she’s been accused of releasing one of those famous sex tapes and actually did a breast augmentation during one episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey.

You go Ludacris!  “How low can you go, how low can you go!  How low can you go, how low can you go!  LUDA!!!!”

Now Headed to Sin City Here Come the ‘Real Housewives of Las Vegas’

April 22nd, 2011 No comments

You know it’s really getting hard to keep up.  There’s Beverly Hills, D.C., Miami, New Jersey, New York and Atlanta and Orange County.  Oh that’s right, D.C. is no more.  But the Real Housewives series is now moving to Sin City, the brightest, lightest city in the world of Las Vegas.

And auditions for casting starts this weekend.  Alicia Jacobs is one of those to audition according to Norm Clarke at the Las Vegas Review Journal.  Wayne Newton’s publicist Tricia McCrone, chef Carla Pellegrino and ‘X’ Girls producer Angela Sampras.

Las Vegas seems to have won out over Chicago that was also in consideration for the next version of the Bravo hit series.  And there is significant drama coming for this Vegas especially from Jacobs who used to work for KSNV Television in Sin City but got bounced off the air after getting in to a domestic spat with ex-boyfriend and Motley Crue rocker Vince Neil.  This public bout in a Las Vegas nightclub was well publicized and the television station took very little time to remove her from the air and toss her out on the street.

No word yet on a launch date for the Real Housewives of Las Vegas.

‘Real Housewives of Miami’s Got Some NBA Flavor (Photos and Bios)

February 8th, 2011 No comments

How about the wife of NBA superstars Scottie Pippen and the ex-wife of former Los Angeles Lakers Glen Rice part of the first season of ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ sound to you?  Pretty good most say.  But they are in the lineup like an episode of VH1′s ‘Basketball Wives.’

Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, Cristy Rice, Lea Black and Adriana Sid

Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton, Larsa Pippen, Cristy Rice, Lea Black and Adriana Sid

On the Bravo web-site, the cast of the ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ include some of the “connected and influential women in Miami as they live their lives to the fullest in this sunny city where the party never stops.”

Oh yes this is going to be fun.

With LeBron in Miami now this is a good city for the next ‘Housewives’ series.

Here are the biographies of the season one cast.

Lea Black

NUP_140292_0406.jpgDeeply loved, occasionally uncompromising, but universally respected, this Texas native is leaving an indelible mark on Miami. Married to one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the country, Roy Black, and raising their 9-year-old son, Lea has a reputation as a community leader. She raised money for President Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign as well as many other local Florida politicians, and spends a majority of her time working towards the success of her own beloved charity.

Alexia Echevarria

NUP_140292_0168.jpgThis “Cuban Barbie” holds the pulse of Miami’s Latin culture.  As the executive editor of Venue Magazine, Alexia spotlights the latest fashion trends as well as up-and -coming Latin film and TV stars.  Alexia loves to spend time at her Miami Beach home with her husband, Herman, and admits she is at times more of an older sister than a disciplinarian to her two sons from a previous marriage.

Marysol Patton

NUP_140292_0469.jpgMiami native Marysol Patton is one of Miami’s most sought-after women both socially and professionally. Being divorced for 10 years has allowed her to put all her energy into creating and running one of the premiere public relations firms in town, the Patton Group. Armed with her bedazzled iPhone and a hot female staff, this PR maven definitely knows how to throw a party for her A-list clients. When Marysol’s not working, she finds time to hang with her mother, Elsa, a character in her own right.  Elsa considers herself a “seer,” not a psychic and she’s a hot commodity amongst A-listers looking for spiritual guidance.

Larsa Pippen

NUP_140292_0375.jpgThis wife of NBA superstar Scottie Pippen shares the unofficial title of “Hottest NBA Wife” with her friend Cristy Rice. A snarky Lebanese beauty, Larsa boasts that she’s successful at everything she does, including playing wife and mother to her four young kids. When she’s not busy turning her three little boys into star athletes, shopping for her one-year-old princess, or firing nannies, Larsa is happy to spend a little time on herself.

Cristy Rice

NUP_140292_0255.jpgAs a Miami native who is beyond proud of her roots, Cristy’s sassy Latina flair is evident in everything she does. Recently divorced from NBA superstar Glen Rice, Cristy has entered a new phase of her life, being single and living out loud. When she’s not out dancing at night or dealing with relationship drama, Cristy’s life is jam-packed with being a single mom to her three children and running her own clothing store.

Adriana DeMoura Sidi

NUP_140292_0124.jpgThis Brazilian bombshell is a full-time mom and a highly respected art curator who is always on the go. Coming off a traumatic divorce, Adriana wasted no time meeting her new fiancée, Fredric. Still her relationship is always on the rocks, as Adrianna’s flirtatious ways and fiery personality seem to get her in trouble and leave her peers gossiping.

‘DC Real Housewives’ Get Gate Crashing Salahi’s in Season Opener

June 19th, 2010 No comments

Well what took Bravo so long to figure this one out.  Talk and talk over the last several months about getting the famed White House gate crashers part of one of Bravo’s many reality programs have finally come to reality as Michaela and Tareq Salahi have found their place on ‘The Real Housewives of DC.’

Will the Secret Service be watching?

Michaela and Tareq Salahi made themselves famous on the way to getting several people terminated in the White House.  One social coordinator, a couple of morons from the Secret Service and an embarrassed White House have helped these two publicity seekers become part of the season opener of ‘DC Housewives’ on August 5th.

Michaele and Tareq Salahi with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel

Michaele and Tareq Salahi with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel

Bravo has been smacked around lately for taking on the Salahi’s but a this point who really cares.  They apparently said in the Los Angeles Times that they were negotiating with these two well before the incident that made them the talk of Washington and the focus of the Secret Service who of course “does not discuss issues of security for the President.”

Got that line from an episode of ‘The West Wing’ when President Bartlett got shot at and…..

OK so back to the Salahi’s.  August 5th is the premiere where you will get to see them and you can be sure Bravo will run that first episode 368 times during the first week so we’re be sure you won’t miss a minute.
