So the re-make is here.  Footloose is working it’s way to number one at the top of the movie chart this weekend if all goes well.  One thing about re-makes.  When you’re 18 to 24 years of age, which is this the core movie-going audience, doing a re-do of a movie that was in the theaters 27 years ago is not something you remember.  You either weren’t born or you were still pissing in your diapers when Kevin Bacon (who?) starred in the original.

Now Dancing With The Stars Julianne Hough is part of the new do-over of  Footloose.   With other movies like the really heavily promoted Ides of March and Dolphin Tale also premiering this weekend and the  Footloose not really steaming up the critics reviews,  Footloose still seems to be the new movie that will launch Julianne Hough’s movie career to new heights.

She’s got the big screen version of Rock of Ages on her list featuring a cast of names like Tom  Cruise, Russell Brand and Will Forte,  Julianne Hough’s career is about to blow-up big time.  Voice over work in the animated Not Born to Be Gladiators and Diablo Cody’s Lamb of God, things can only get better for the Dancing With The Stars participant.

It got Anthony Weiner in hot water, so hot that he now has to spend all of his time with his pregnant wife.  Ever been around a pregnant woman?  Oh he right now is regretting the move he made by sending a picture of his pee pee to a female which pretty much ended his political career.

But can Ron Artest, the former bad boy of the NBA, get himself out of this current mess and end up on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars?  Oh I dunno.

Ron Artest is chatting around town that he is in conversation with producers of Dancing With The Stars to be part of next season’s run of the series.  And he’s pretty psyched about his possible integration in the show.  Now the issue.

Um, there’s always an issue with Ron Artest.

There’s a story floating around the internet, or should we say a picture, that apparently is the same type of content that ended the slimy life of Anthony Weiner.  Ron Artest met a woman on Twitter (that damn Twitter!) and began a text and text back relationship with the woman.  When she turned Ron Artest down for a meetup to do the wild thing, the Los Angeles Laker forward decided he would send a picture of his pee pee to the woman.

She of course sent it to Deadspin and the mess is on!

But this is Ron Artest and most of us, knowing Ron Artest, would say who cares.

But this is the ABC Television Network and Walt Disney’s people don’t play that mess.  C’mon, we’re talking about Mickey Mouse here, Mickey Mouse.

And Artest is not married, yet will be marrying his ex-wife again.  “A nice big wedding,” says his ex-wife, soon to be wife again Kimsha.

Ron may get a pass on this one because, well because he’s Ron Artest.  But let me repeat once again, to all my male brethren, you cannot, cannot, cannot send women texts of your pee pee and not expect them to sell it.  Hell we might buy it, so stop, stop please!!!

Yes this is not a great day for Hines Ward, the professional football player and contestant on the ABC hit series Dancing With the Stars.  The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and a female companion were filling up the gas tank at a service station this morning when cops surrounded the car, with guns drawn and asked both Ward and his passenger to remove themselves from the automobile.

If you watch enough episodes of Cops on Fox you know that when the police ask you to remove yourself and everyone else from your automobile with guns drawn, well yes “Houston we have a problem.”

Seems the female companion reported the car stolen earlier Wednesday night.  Then forgot, after finding said automobile, to call the police back to tell them “I found my car that I thought was stolen.”

HELLO!!!!!  Bonk, bonk, bonk on the head.  Is there anything going on up in there?

Police apparently spotted the so called stolen automobile at 1:30AM at the gas station which is really easy to do these days because at current California price per gallon it takes forever to fill up.  Hines said on his Facebook page today that “I want everyone to know that this was a complete misunderstanding.  The police were just doing their job.  Apologies were made and now it’s in the past.”

Wonder if the female companion had anything to apologize for?  She reported the car stolen after a valet could not find her keys.  After the call to 911, the valet, well found the keys.  All together now, “CALL THE POLICE BACK AND TELL THEM YOU FOUND THE CAR!!!”

LAPD says Hines and the companion were totally cooperative.  Yes most of us would be when facing several 9 Millimeter pistols.

Maybe this will be the one real project that Eric Roberts can be the lead and be really successful.  He deserves it because he’s really a good actor and soap opera stuff just seems so below him.

Eric Roberts is hopefully dancing on his own star with a new upcoming project from ABC called ‘Grace.’  ‘Dancing with The Stars’ judge Carrie Anne Inaba is also connected to this project along with Krista Vernoff, a writer on another ABC series ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’

Roberts will play Michael Grace, the head of a dysfunctional family living in the world of professional dance.  Roberts has had a lot of smaller roles on ABC and Starz but will be the head guy in this new series.

That’s what Mario Lopez is saying on ‘Extra’ tonight.  Can you believe it?  Sure you can.   Here’s how it works in reality TV and mostly on ABC’s ‘Dancing with The Stars’ which is the network’s hottest show.

Bristol Palin gets dumped, picked up and then dumped again by her boyfriend, fiance’ and whoever that clown was that got his 15 minutes of fame that was 15 minutes too, oh so too long.

Then there was Kate Gosselin, who was dumped by her husband, he got a new girlfriend and then another new girlfriend, lots of court appearances, money missing from their joint account, more court appearances and on and on….

They all got shots at being on ‘Dancing with The Stars’ and now it looks like Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen’s ex, is on her way to the show.

So here’s how they select them.  Get totally screwed over by your man and you’re in on ‘Stars.’
