Zombies Rule Sunday Night, But ‘The Walking Dead’ Pretty Much Was Walking Dead
This is what happens when you have turmoil in the ranks. In this case behind the scenes of the AMC horror drama The Walking Dead. Last night the show premiered with a fantastic viewing audience of over 8 million people tuning in to unfortunately see the worst episode in the series short life on the cable network. It wasn’t horror, it was HORRIBLE!!!!
Lord help them to pray that it gets better.
Last night’s episode got more stupid than a Bravo reality show featuring housewives. You had one old dude who seemed to have his act all together decide that he was going to go on a drinking binge and head back to the town that apparently was submerged in walking dead zombies. Only to have two more nuts go after him. Then while sitting at the bar a discussion that you would see on an episode of Dr. Drew LifeChangers ensued. Yeah a Dr. Drew session on The Walking Dead.
Fast forward to stupid person number two who decided to head in to town to find them only to have been looking at a map to find her way around and run dead on in to a walker. In total stepping with a sig-alert on the 405 at the Wilshire Boulevard exit in Los Angeles, she flipped her car maybe a couple of times landing upside down set to become a tasty meal for The Walking Dead.
So you gotta figure the drama behind the scenes in staffing really hurt this show because last night’s episode really sucked.
All I can say is I liked this show but if last night’s writing is any indication of things to come, well those things to come could be cancellation. Here’s the deal writers. Stop being wusses and get back to fighting The Walking Dead. I mean that is the name of the show still, right? It’s about fighting zombies, getting chased by zombies, getting eaten by zombies and nothing more. This One Life to Live crap has got to go just like, well, just like One Life to Live is gone.
Don’t you just hate it when people really mess up a good show?
