Why I Miss George Carlin…”So your son wants to dress up as a princess…” on ‘The Today Show’
You’ll have to link to this because NBC doesn’t load up their content to YouTube. But this story shows the weakness of America. Especially American males. George Carlin used an amazingly perfect phrase that I will write once in this story because some people may be offended by it and that is not my goal.
Carlin called it “the pussyfication of America.”
A story on ‘The Today Show’ on NBC highlights what Carlin, one of America’s most creative and brilliant comedians next to Richard Pryor, talked about during one of his stand up routines.
I mean you really can’t blame ‘The Today Show’ for running this story about little boys dressing up as girls and their parents accepting and supporting it, along with actually going on TV to talk about it.
Ya see this is why sometimes I have to turn off this crap and watch a DVR’d episode of ‘Dexter’ cause this is the kind of story where you want to call TV’s most lovable serial killer and send him to have a one on one conversation with these weak parents, those that would allow a boy to dress up as a girl at such a young age.
How about putting a freaking soccer ball or baseball bat in his hands? Instead let’s help mommy accessorize, baby boy. What’s even more sad is the one brother that is supportive of his son’s need to wear little girl’s clothing. But then I have to remember he’s from Seattle so there’s your explanation. “That’s fine,” this father says about his son, yes his son, wearing little girl’s clothing.
I don’t care if it’s Halloween on Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, build a boy in to a boy. Give him a shot at being a regular kid first. If he chooses to wear a Dana Buchman skirt or a Vera Wang dress when he can make that decision on his own, then fine. Welcome to Santa Monica Boulevard some Halloween. But don’t be supportive of this behavior.
Ya see this is why it’s OK when Republicans take over for a minute. Democrats like me turn pretty conservative when the “p#@%$yfication of America” gives us one woman who writes a kids book titled “My Princess Boy” and I have to watch this crap first thing in the morning.
Happy Monday.
