“What is the Internet,” from ‘Today Show’ Gets Uploader Fired (Video)

You may have seen this or may not.  And the guy that took this old video clip and uploaded it to the web got fired from NBC for doing such a thing.

Why?

I dunno, but who cares.  This is really funny.  And a great blast from the past.  Because we all thought this way back in 1994.  The first big client that I worked with in this new arena created by Al Gore known as the ‘World Wide Web’ was Priceline.com, the name your own price for airline tickets and other travel needs.

katie-bryantHeck back then Priceline was even trying to sell mortgages at your price.  Here is this monster internet company that made me well off back then.  A client of mine and my business was not even online then.

It took me about a week, trying to figure out this dang internet thing.  But I was asking the same questions Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel asked during this break on ‘Today’ back in 1994.

Watching it today will tell you just how far we’ve come since,l “94, rugged war, kicking in your blank dang door” in the words of Big Poppa.

Or was that Dre?
