Vanessa Marcil-Giovinazzo, ‘Brenda Barrett’ Back to ‘General Hospital’
ABC Television is making room by completely adjusting their daytime lineup a day before her return. SOAPnet is already doing a countdown to ‘Brenda Barrett’s return after seven long years away from ‘General Hospital.’
Vanessa Marcil, now married and known as Vanessa Marcil-Giovinazzo, will bring back ‘Brenda Barrett’ on the daytime soap.

Vanessa will be back on ‘General Hospital’ on August 11th and will be back for at least one year or could be longer according to head writer Bob Guza speaking with Seattle PI. A day before her return, ABC is dumping their entire soap opera lineup to run three full hours of the best ‘Brenda Barrett’ episodes. SOAPnet is doing a ‘Best of Brenda and Sonny’ marathon on August 15th.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) was her main center of attention during the seven years of ‘Brenda Barrett’ on ‘General Hospital.’
