Ty Pennington, ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ Looking for Daytime Talk Show
Well here’s another one and why not. Everybody else in getting in to the daytime TV talk show game whether it be on the Oprah Winfrey Network or anywhere else. Now the host of ABC’s ‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ is throwing in his hat in to the daytime genre. With his contract up in 2012, Pennington is putting the word out that he wants to do something different. Sticking with ABC is a possibility but his managers are exploring other networks as well.

Word is he will stay with the ‘Extreme Makeover’ as of course that show is at night and the talk show would be in daytime. The guys who put together Joy Behar’s deal taking her from ‘The View’ and then to her show on CNN are the same people that are working with Ty Pennington.
The one asset that Pennington has is his Q score rating as research shows that his numbers run better than all daytime talk hosts except for Ellen DeGeneres. A Q score looks at the familiarity of a person, product or TV show. Or just about anything that you want to compare to items in the same category. Q Score ratings have been around since the early 60′s.
