We haven’t seen Jesse L. Martin a regular series since the short summer run of the very well produced NBC series ‘The Philanthropist’ which also starred James Purefoy.  And Saffron Burrows only put one season of ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ on her resume before that show gets sent off to the canceled bin after its upcoming run on USA Network.

Now both are making returns to television.

Jesse L. Martin heads over to ABC TV now in a new show titled ‘Hallelujah’ which is a musical drama for that network.  Marc Cherry from ‘Desperate Housewives’ is the creator of this project which is set in the town of Halleluja, Tennessee and get this.  Mess and mayhem is the color of the day in this city and when a mysterious stranger arrives the attitude f everyone there changes.
