Real TV Critics

You know sometimes people can be just plain old dang stupid.  And a lot of of the stupidity takes place only at ABC owned ESPN.  If their on air staff isn’t being arrested while driving drunk, beating up their girlfriend in Santa Monica, California or plagiarizing the OC Register, then some moron is dumb enough to use the Asian racial slur “chink” in a slug-line on the network’s TV, radio and online properties.

What a mess.  ESPN and ABC are under significant fire after a producer uploaded the comment “Chink in the Armor” after Jeremy Lin made nine turnovers in one game with his new look New York Knicks.

I will end this part of a great story.  So that I don’t go off on ESPN which clearly needs a total overall in upper level management immediately.  It is clearly apparent that something is very wrong with how this network is run.  From top to bottom.  Too much goes on that’s not right about ESPN and quite frankly Walt Disney is turning in his grave after hearing this story.

So most of us haven’t been lucky like those in New York city.  We all only had highlights to watch on ESPN or maybe just a few local TV stations followed the new pro basketball sensation that has taken the world of sports to a new level.  No one knew anything about the one person from Harvard University that has now become one of the hottest names in the NBA.

You may have thought LeBron James.  No one likes Lebron James.  How about Kobe?  Nope.  Neither one of them attended Harvard.  Let alone any college.  Period.  It’s the Asian Sensation, Jeremy Lin.  You might have said “who” had you been asked that question until today.  Today the New York Knicks showed their team is in comeback mode after many years of being the doormat of the NBA.

The New York Knicks assembled a pretty good group players getting Amare Stoudamire and Carmelo Anthony.  Great pickups those to solid players but slight head cases.  Tyson Chandler signed as a free agent is a great center, just coming off a championship season with the Dallas Mavericks.  But the one addition that took those same NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks to task was Jeremy Lin.

The Knicks beat the Mavericks today during a nationally televised broadcast and Jeremy Lin was just simply amazing.  Basketball is back in New York, big time.  Huge.  In a city that needed a jolt to bring the number one TV market in the world back to prominence in the NBA.  Plus the NBA which needed a jolt after losing a third of its season through this past fall’s player lockout.

Jeremy Lin has provided New York and the NBA just what this league wanted.  We all wanted to forget that the NBA and their players were a bunch or rich, spoiled babies trying to suck every penny from each side leaving the fans in limbo.

Thank you Jeremy Lin.

Lin-Sanity reigns in New York and all over the NBA.  Jeremy Lin scored 28 points and dished out 14 assists as the Knicks beat Dallas in a thrilling NBA contest today at Madison Square Garden with a 104-97 victory.

This kid is going to be really fun to watch.  And, um, Kobe who?  LeBron who?  It’s all about Lin-Sanity.
