Topher Grace Set to Do TV, ’70′s Classic ‘CHIPs’
Nellie Andreeva again. We like her over at Deadline.com and with a lot of shows being refurbished from old school television to the present, the comedy/drama ‘CHIPs’ looks to be returning to modern TV.
Not the first time a mulligan of ‘CHIPs’ has been tried. 8 years ago a production company wanted to do the show again but that never materialized but this one seems for real. Warner Brothers owns the rights to the series and Topher Grace of ‘Spiderman’ fame is set to be the executive producer.

Nellie also says Wilmer Valderrama is set to to play the role that Erik Estrada made so famous, that of Frank ‘Ponch’ Poncharello.
For the official record, ‘CHIPs’ follows two California Highway Patrolmen and their daily duties which now in the state is one crazy gig. The show ran six years from 1977 to 1983.
