This is Why They Call It ‘March Madness’ as The Underdogs Win Big (Video)
The Butler Bulldogs and VCU Rams. Yes the Butler Bulldogs and the VCU Rams are in the Final Four. Did you get a chance to watch any of the CBS coverage of The Road to the Final Four this weekend? One, great coverage by the network folks at CBS but you have two teams that are on an amazing journey to the big dance next weekend in Houston, Texas.
The number 11 seeded VCU Rams totally smacked around a number 1 seed in Kansas today by a score of 76 to 69. At some points during today’s game it wasn’t even that close. What an upset, by a team that was expected to get really beat up by Kansas today.
Then there was number 8 seed Butler taking on a number 2 seed in Florida and beating them74 to 71. Another upset, another great game to watch on TV.
You just can’t beat great college basketball during what they term March Madness. There is nothing better than college basketball this time of year. This is when the best plays the best and once in while some unknown gets a chance to dance at the Final Four.
This year there are two. VCU and Butler. An amazing accomplishment by two teams that no one ever thought would be anywhere near the dance hall let alone actually in the Final Four.
We thought we’d show you what it’s like to be an underdog and win. A behind the scenes video that will give you goosebumps. Unfortunately one of these two teams will be a loser next weekend because VCU will take on Butler to play in the championship game.
But this will be one experience that these kids and their fans will never forget.
