The Stories We Love to Hate on TV, Lottery Winners and NBC4LA

OK so I’m sitting here watching my favorite evening newscast,  NBC4 Los Angeles.  Yeah I know I beat up that morning show ‘Today in LA’ on a regular basis but I’ve always said the news reporting after 9AM on NBC4 Los Angeles is really professional compared to what I call “Def Comedy Jam’ for white people which is the best way to describe the morning news program known as ‘Today in LA.’

california-lottery-winnersBut don’t  you just hate those stories about lottery winners?  All those people standing up talking about how they will each get their hands on $600,000 from the California Lottery?

Ticks me off.  Stop running those stories.  Please.  Do these people have any idea of how many single dollar bills I’ve invested in the California Lottery?  More than I have at strip clubs on Industrial Boulevard in Vegas, that’s how many single dollar bills I’ve invested in the California Lottery.

I’m really happy for those people.  But I hate them.  And I hate seeing stories about them.  Of course until I win.  Then I’m calling Jennifer Bjorklund or Ana Garcia for a one on one interview (Jennifer’s looking awesome and a pro and Ana is gorgeous and a pro) to talk to them about how I’m headed to the beaches of Ipanema in Rio de Janiero with my winnings.

Either one.  Both can interview me.  Doesn’t matter.  And yes I do like the news coverage on NBC4LA.  After 9AM that is/
