He’s been on the front of every major newspaper, cable news service and news web-site. And all for the wrong reasons. And now a new original docu-series will air on the cable network BET chronicling the life of Michael Vick, the embattled quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Vick was the highest paid player in the National Football League, a number 1 draft pick by the Atlanta Falcons, before being arrested and convicted for dog fighting. After doing time, he came out of prison broke and reviled by everyone from animal rights groups and even some in his own family.
The documentary will follow his personal life along with his pro football career.
“I am not doing this documentary to show people that I’m back and unchanged by the experiences of the last few years,” said Vick. “I’m allowing the cameras to see the truth — the good, the bad and the ugly results of my decisions — with the sincere hope that it will positively affect others’ lives and prevent someone out there from making the same mistakes I did.”
The show premieres on February 2nd at 10PM on BET.

I am about as excited about this as I am about the returns of Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb.
