‘The Glades’ Worse Than Awful
And they dropped ‘The Cleaner’ for this crap.
Oh please A&E bring back repeat episodes of ‘The Beast’ as whoever made the brilliant programming decision to greenlight this show needs to be re-working his or her resume.
This show sucks. MC Hammer’s short lived reality show was as low as A&E could get until this one.
With all the hype about ‘The Glades’ on A&E the premiere episode was way below disappointing. Thank goodness my Time Warner Cable bought DVR kept screwing up the show and forced me to flip over to ‘Entourage’ on my other channel.
‘The Glades’ must really consider viewers relatively stupid. There was not an ounce of credibility with the characters in this episode and the main character making everything a poor one liner didn’t help to bring any substance to the show.

Matt Passmore (right) in 'The Glades'
Australian actor Matt Passmore plays Jim Longworth… should have stayed downunder. He’s an exiled Chicago cop ending up in Palm Glades, Florida after being wrongly accused of sleeping with his former boss’s wife.
That was about the only thing of reality here that this character would end up in a situation like this. Rub is that he apparently was the only person in the Chicago police department that didn’t do the nasty with the Captain’s wife.
Too many attempts at making Passmore’s character humorous, creating stupid antics that just bring nothing to the show. Making jokes while staring down a guy pointing a 45 caliber revolver at you just has no credibility whatsoever. There’s no reason to connect to this character because you don’t know whether to take him seriously or take the content of the show seriously. A waste of an hour and once again thank you Time Warner for the awful cable service you offer leading to the demise of my DVR.
I had better things to do with an hour of my evening.
‘The Glades’ is now off of the ‘series recording’ button on my DVR. Faster than the racially insulting MC Hammer show on A&E. It insults my intellectual television integrity which should be easy to serve since I think Maury Povich episodes determining ‘are you my baby daddy’ truly entertaining.
