Those the words in the courtroom shouted out by ‘Law & Order: SVU’ actor Ice-T after his run in with a bunch of real cops in New York. Bro’ man was driving around the city in his “diamond in the back, sun-roof top, diggin’ the scene with a sex machine” 2009 Caddy and popo saw him without his seat belt strapped.
Even the little piggy that cried “whee, whee, whee” all the way home in those Geico commercials has on his seat belt.
Now he ain’t such a smart brotha cause even though his song 10 years ago ‘Cop Killer’ never made the Billboard 100, the dudes in blue have never forgiven Ice-T. In fact, back in 2000, Ice had to pull that cut from his ‘Body Count’ CD after the outrage.
Oh, NYPD loved seeing him without his belt on .
So they pulled him over and cuffed him taking him away while his wife and dog Spartacus were left behind. And Spartacus was having surgery on a bum knee so that had to be rescheduled.
Problem for the cops was records were wrong. This is why the system is truly screwed up. Since ‘SVU’ is filmed in Jersey Ice-T moved his three cars to that state and registered them along with insurance in that state.
And his license was not suspended.
“Free T!” “Free T!” the crowd chanted. “No justice, no peace…” OK so there was no crowd or chanting but it sure sounded good, didn’t it?
Prosecutors dropped all charges.
