He’s got his own radio show, does a relationship segment on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ and now has the plum assignment of host of ‘Family Feud’, the long running television game show.  ’Family Feud’ has been on and off television since 1976 and Steve Harvey replaces John O’Hurley who has been hosting the show since 2006.

Steve Harvey started as a comedian in Dallas in the early 90’s.  He was part of the original ‘Kings of Comedy Tour’ which also featured the late Bernie Mac.  Harvey now does a syndicated radio show along with a recurring segment on ‘Good Morning America.’

He still does a lot of stand-up comedy but a lot of comedians have found solid gigs as daytime game show or talk show hosts.  Ellen DeGeneres, Drew Carey, Wayne Brady and now Steve Harvey all had comedic backgrounds before taking their current hosting duties.

O’Hurley is focusing on his role in the stage show ‘Chicago’ and other business ventures.
