Steve Carell Says “Bye”…Larry King Out, Katie Couric to CNN…”No”

Well a lot of official announcements and a few unhappy networks in the TV business. Steve Carell has told E! News that he wasn’t kidding when he told BBC Radio that he was done with the show. Maybe he might tell Jeff Zucker over at NBC about his decision. “It was time for my character to go” Carell told E!
Larry King finally mans up and tells CNN that he will leave the network’s ‘Larry King Live’ in the fall. He plans to spend time with his on again off again wife who pulled a Jennifer Capriati and popped more pills than what the prescription called for from the pharmacy.
Now the word on Katie Couric says CNN wanted her to replace King in his slot which probably would be considerably less pay than the $15 million bucks she brings in reading the ‘CBS Evening News’ and we do mean reading. But CBS is in no position to let her go so they might as well re-up for the same money or less as the news division continues to work hard at being the number three evening newscast.
