Some Nice Fireworks Content for the 4th of July (Videos)

So I spent part of my vacation week up in Westport, CT with a client and over one of those days we took her boat, hit the water to watch a huge fireworks display.

What a blast you might say.  So here’s this kid from West Philly on a boat somewhere in the water near this really upscale town watching fireworks.  Now when I grew up all we had were the local guys who bought illegal ones and shot them off in the neighborhood.  I still have all of my fingers but there are a few friends with limited grabbing powers today.  Then we also had the walk through Fairmount Park to the Parkway to watch the fireworks.  That was always a bunch of fun with thousands of people and nothing but lights in the skies.

Now these days in Philly they have huge concerts.  Tonight, now get this, there’s Earth, Wind & Fire along with Michael McDonald which I hear is a good tour.  I’ve only seen “the  elements of the universe” as old school WDAS Philly deejay Butterball would call them.   So it’s gotten bigger and badder than ever for July 4th.

I think I saw Chaka Khan one summer, back in the day.

Will be on a plane though tonight.  Great vacation week.  First time in 7 years of living in Los Angeles that I came back east for any reason for a full week.  It was a blast.  But in the word of Big Poppa, “I’m going back, back, back…to Cali, Cali!”

Happy 4th of July and I hope you have some great memories as you watch the sky light up tonight!
