Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter...

Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter...

There’s good news and bad news.  Let’s start with the good stuff.  Michael C. Hall who plays the whacked out, very cool, calm and gets us to like serial killers on Showtime’s ‘Dexter’ is cancer free.  This from his wife and ‘sister’ on the Showtime show, Jennifer Carpenter.  He’s “fully recovered” says Carpenter via The Associated Press.

‘Southland’ on TNT after the NBC debacle of moving Jay Leno to 10PM has been renewed by the cable network.  This show was on the bubble and TNT is only giving it a 10 episode order that puts it back on the air in January.

“Legend of the Seeker’ which you see on weekend in what is called first run syndication has been canceled according to Entertainment Weekly after two seasons.  This show took a hit when local TV stations owned by Tribune dropped their deal to air the show.  Lose a bunch of local stations and you’re on life support.

And the state of Pennsylvania said “yes” to Kate Gosselin and her new show on TLC.  ‘Kate Plus 8″ minus her scumbag ex-husband Jon, is a go yet no word yet on whether ‘Twist of Kate’ on the same cable network has been greenlit by the state.
