‘Reality Rocks Expo’ Convention for Reality TV

A convention for fans of reality television.
Hmmm….
This sounds really interesting. If there can be a ‘Comic Con’ which these days is no longer about comic books and super heroes why not a convention purely focused on the reality television genre.
Brilliant. Truly brilliant.
And behind this idea is a spin-off from The Hollywood Reporter called ‘e5 Global Media’ that is putting together plans for the ‘Reality Rocks Expo’ next April in Los Angeles. Some big names are behind this event including reality guru Mark Burnett, Oxygen Media and The Sundance Channel.
Just like ‘Comic Con,’ the Reality Rocks Expo’ will have panels with celebrities, floor exhibitions, live demonstrations and performances. Attempts to do such an event have been tried in the past but with no where near the level of involvement from those responsible for creating reality TV shows.
The program is set to run April 8th through the 10th at the Los Angeles Convention Center and planned for this time to coincide with the all important May ratings period.
