Painful to Watch, Vili Fualaau, Mary Kay Letourneau, Today on ‘Today’
You gotta give Meredith Vieira tons of respect. To interview these two people had to not only be painful for her but to sit and watch these two dopey people struggle through their ABC’s was absolutely embarrassing.

And parents out there, keep your kids in class, send them to high school graduation, please some college, even if it’s Le Cordon Bleu cooking academy.
So I have to remind myself that this episode with these two happened a long time ago but he was 13 years old, she was his teacher, they started doing naked things together and the local law enforcement ended up sending her to prison.

Don’t let them end up like Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau. And this woman was a teacher? There’s no way this woman earned her teaching degree standing tall. Neither one could put a distinctive sentence together with any semblance of understanding. I mean c’mon, after all these years, the both of them still can’t diagram a sentence?
And once again she’s a teacher.
Watching this segment once again is so painful that you just want to continue to view because you’ll be asking yourself how can two people be so damn stupid.
You be the judge. She’s still, today, 15 some years later, is the epitome of Edith Bunker. He, well he’s a deejay at clubs in Seattle which means we shouldn’t expect much from him.
But give Meredith some serious interview props. Sometimes when she’s a bit over her head with a guest above her pay grade, she can get a little flustered. But she was so cool and calm during this extra long segment, got in the right questions and actually ended a difficult interview with two very ignorant very well.
