Overcome by Bin Laden, Lara Logan Stands Tall on ’60 Minutes’ (Video)

Last night was a great night for America.  Osama Bin Laden was killed.  YEAH!!!  New York and Washington were jubilant after the President of the United States made the announcement of the raid on the compound by brave military members.

But before every broadcast network or cable news channel went 24/7 Osama Bin Laden, CBS News reporter Lara Logan told her chilling story of the brutal sexual assault that took place as she covered liberation of Egypt.

lara_logan_244x183Do not watch this if you don’t want to hear and see the real deal about what took place.  You have to give Lara Logan credit to be able to go on 60 Minutes last night and tell the full story.  It’s not pretty.  It really isn’t but there’s no other way for 60 Minutes to report this terrible incident where still to this day no one has been arrested for this brutal sexual assault on the CBS reporter.

“It’s not likely anyone involved will be brought to justice,” said 60 Minutes moderator Scott Pelley during his report.  “I’d broken the silence,” said Logan.  when asked why she’s telling the story of her ordeal.  “I think there are a lot of women who experience these kinds of things,” she goes on to say.

Sad thing about this story…although sexual harassment and assault is common in Egypt, the same incidents happen to women in the United States.  Yet these women choose not to press charges or tell their stories.  Another reason why Lara Logan spoke to her colleague Scott Pelley last night on 60 Minutes.

The interview is fantastic.  The story…well the story is very, very sad.
