Like the Energizer bunny Oprah just keeps on movin’ on with her production company now set to launch another one of her guests in to television stardom. OK a bit much but why not. She’s stopping her own show and bringing on Nate Berkus, the decorator and design expert who will be hopefully on the air in September.
‘The Nate Berkus Show’ will be produced by Harpo Productions and the company will begin talking to local stations to drum up interest in the show. With Oprah leaving and Bonnie Hunt’s cancellation along with ‘The Guiding Light’ and ‘As The World Turns’, there are a lot of holes that need to be filled over the next couple of years.
Following in the footsteps of the success of ‘Dr. Phil’ and ‘Rachael Ray’, Harpo looks to own a lot of the daytime hours available.
Can a design and decoration show make it five days a week? We’ll see.
