One That Took An “Easy like Sunday morning” to Remember, Maria Schneider

She did more movies than she did television roles but the first time I saw the 1972 movie ‘Last Tango in Paris’ it was on some cable channel.  I was only 16 years old when the movie was in theaters so even if Maria Schneider was only in a few TV programs, it was television that first exposed all men to the fresh new face that was only 19 years old when she starred opposite the incredible Marlon Brando.

And ‘Tango’ was one of the first movies where “strong sexual content” would have been the label for this film that caused a stir worldwide.  The movie focused on an older, recently widowed man (Brando) who begins an anonymous sexual relationship with a young woman looking for an apartment.

Relatively simple, but this is a movie worth renting.  Just watch after the kids go to sleep if you ever do grab this from NetFlix.
