One of TV’s Hottest, Michael B. Jordan, ‘Parenthood’ and ‘Friday Night Lights’

He’s got a part in two NBC shows.  The Tuesday night drama Parenthood where he’s worked his way in to the heart of the 16 year old daughter of the show’s main character Adam Braverman.  That was a lot of fun to watch.  This good looking black guy meeting her at a homeless shelter where he works.  Seems Alex has worked his way in to the Braverman family on Parenthood.

Then he’s the quarterback and star player on NBC’s Friday Night Lights.  And really the new star of the Friday night series that although is ending it is one of the most well written and well produced shows on television.

Michael B. Jordan is a comer.  He’s definitely on the rise.  I watch Parenthood regularly and just got in to Friday Night Lights again.  Watching Michael B. Jordan on both.  I have to say, without question, his role in the Friday night show is worth consideration for a more visible role on television.

He plays Vince Howard, a kid that has had a rough roll through his short life.  His father just got out of prison on assault and drug charges.  His mother, who he lives with, has raised him alone.  But she was hooked on drugs that the father supplied.  Now that dad is back the tension has risen dramatically between father and son.  Vince Howard doesn’t trust dad but the relationship shows the length of Jordan’s acting range.  He’s unhappy and he shows it.  He’s happy and he shows it but sadness is pervasive over his character.

Jordan is ready for his next big role.  And with these two bit parts on Parenthood and Friday Night Lights, the 24 year old has a great future.  He’s an awesome performer who has gone through the proper ranks of becoming a big star.  From his early work on The Wire and All My Children, producers should be looking to work Jordan in to a much stronger role on television.

Looking forward to his next big role.
