“Kickin’ the door, wavin’ the 44″ as Another ESPN Analyst Jammed Up for Domestic Violence (Video)
OK so we like Biggie. “Kickin’ the door, wavin’ the 44! All you heard was Poppa don’t him me no more.” Well there was no “44″ but here we go again. These current or former ESPN male abusers, at it again. You read the story we wrote about the exploits of Jay Mariotti and his ex-girlfriend last week that landed him back in prison. He lost his gig less than a year ago because of a knockdown, drag-out battle between him and her at a club in Santa Monica.
Now there’s the next ESPN fool. This one in former NHL right winger turned hockey analyst Matthew Barnaby. Yeah his career with ESPN seems headed for the recycle bin for a new analyst to be named later. Barnaby, who is currently going tough times with his estranged wife, made his life even more deplorable by heading over to her house in Amherst, NY to confront his wife about her relationship with another man.

Matthew Barnaby
Seems Barnaby is being linked by his own efforts to ESPN2 SportsNation host Michele Beadle. What a mess, what an absolute mess.
So Barnaby, in his current status of stupidity, went to his ex’s house and tried to enter, failing the legal way and then made the criminal move of kicking in the door doing about $300 in damage.
Oh yeah, Matthew Barnaby. A true genius.
And there’s more. Prior to pulling a Biggie Smalls, “kickin’ in the door, wavin’ the 44,’ Barnaby sent threatening text messages to the ex’s male friend and went to his place of business to confront him.
This guy is truly a moron. Too many bonk, bonk, bonks in the head during his career spanning seven teams in the National Hockey League.
“I would like to ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time and hope that this will be resolved quickly and amicably,” Barnaby said after his arrest. Seems it will be solved next week when Barnaby is scheduled to appear in court May 18th. Just a few charges including felony criminal mischief, criminal contempt, criminal trespass, harassment and aggravated harassment.
Oh yeah, that’s how you keep things private, Matthew.
This is one of those things you title a career-ender.
