Well Neil Patrick Harris finally has a Daddy.  After Eric Braeden played the role and was asked to come back to do it again, well he refused.  He says he was too busy, Neil jumped all over him and called Braeden a typical Hollywood, self centered actor.

Bye bye, Eric.  In steps the incredible John Lithgow who will do the daddy thing on the hit CBS show ‘How I Met Your Mother.’  Lithgow just finished up an arc as a ‘Dexter’ arch rival on that Showtime show.

Of course Lithgow was absolutely flawless in the role.

He’ll drop in for one episode in February.

Then comes Richard Dreyfus.  Another legendary name in the film and television business.  He just finished his role on another Showtime series ‘Weeds’ and will star in ‘Parenthood’s final four episodes of this current season.  He will play a buddy of Craig T. Nelson’s ‘Zeek’ character in those shows.
