No Brainer for TNT…’The Closer’ and ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Get New Seasons
Monday nights on TV are owned by women this summer. Kyra Sedgwick and Angie Harmon. Television is no longer afraid to cast women in lead roles when you look at the continued solid success with these two solid performers in both shows.
The writing and creative work done by the behind the scenes people is just fantastic as ‘The Closer’ and ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ rule Monday night and in a huge way on the cable network.
In a move that will be the easiest management decision in television history, both shows will return to the network with the latter getting a green light for its second season just after a few episodes.

Programming big guy Michael Wright says “TNT has enjoyed tremendous success…on Monday nights…” and “look forward to continued success with new seasons on 2011.”
If you haven’t watched either show, you’re missing great, quality television.
No disrespect to ‘Leverage’ which is also being renewed by TNT.
