And it will be only for one year. Hmmmmm. Wonder what that means? Meredith Vieira, co-host with Matt Lauer on the top rated ’Today Show’ on NBC, has agreed to a one year extension of her agreement with the show.
Some still see this as stability for the network. Others see it as a slap in the face to the network that seems to have a lot of issues in prime time which quite frankly is the bulk of adverting income for NBC. Why Meredith chose just one year was not discussed with anyone but maybe her husband.
Anyway the deal is one year from the end of her current four year agreement which ends this September. So the extension begins then. This show has a lot of stability now as chief competitors ‘Good Morning America’ and the ‘CBS Early Show’ have bounced around hosts recently.
