Mehki Phifer “Unfortunately” Not Returning to ‘Lie to Me’
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is no longer needed at ‘Lie to Me’ according to Entertainment Weekly. Agent ‘Ben Reynolds’ played but Mekhi Phifer is no longer part of the group as Tim Roth’s character ‘Lightman’ will become more of a private investigator during this upcoming season.

‘Lie to Me’ executive producer David Graziano told Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello that “Lightman is going to act in the more old school PI role…Mehki is unfortunately no longer going to be on the show.”
Bad news for Mehki. Not the time to be told that your role is no longer needed as most new show’s casts are pretty set. But this guy is such a good talent he should have no problem finding a supporting role hopefully by mid season. Liked his work in ‘E.R.’ for the six years he was part of that show and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’
