Major Format Changes at ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire’
It’s season nine for the syndicated version of the daytime game show ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.’ A new set. Meredith Vieira will be up and about the stage, there’s going to be a big time video screen where the host and the contestants will be looking up and a lot more.
The game show that started in prime time and was the one of the early game shows that drew huge numbers of viewers at night will go through some major changes this season.
There’s going to be a new lifeline and an easier way for contestants to win a million bucks. Here are some of the changes outside of what’s mentioned above.
The $50,000 question is gone. Once less hurdle to that million dollars.
Players can make money faster. Cause the amount you can make and the questions that go along with them are at random. So an easy question which has been piddly bucks can now be worth up to $25,000. That’s a great move.
The new lifeline is called ‘jumps’ which mean you can skip to the next question if you can’t answer the one you’ve been asked. You can still ask the audience but that phoning of friends thing is now gone.
They’re calling it ‘Millionaire 2.0′ with the new set and staging, the high tech projection screen and should prove to be a lot of fun for viewers. New shows begin on your local stations September 13th.
