We have to give L.A. Times writer Steve Lopez props.  Some may remember his articles in the Philadelphia Inquirer before heading to the west coast to be closer to his family.  But Sunday’s article about the Los Angeles Unified School District turning down an offer from the NBC upcoming program ‘School Pride’ is a masterpiece.

At the end of the story, LAUSD did decide to participate in the makeover of one of their facilities.  But with idiots running the schools in Los Angeles, turning down any help to fix up any school in that city is moronic.

That’s initially what they did.  Turned down an offer to create ‘School Pride’ by totally repairing a run down school.  The article is at the link below but once you read the Steve Lopez piece you will be amazed at the stupidity of people responsible for educating children.

With a 50% dropout rate in most public schools in America turning down any help just doesn’t make sense.  Read the article and let us know what you think.

Idiots.  Absolute idiots.
