‘Lone Star’ is the New Star on FOX
So I had a chance to watch the pilot for ‘Lone Star’ the new drama on FOX while I was on a JetBlue flight. You know the coolest thing in the airline business is JetBlue. Why? They have Direct TV. That’s all folks!
On one channel they ran the premiere episode of ‘Lone Star’ and the awful promos that they have running on FOX are no where near the feature long pilot and I suggest you give this show a look.
Rather than give you the characters and on and on it’s a very simple and easy to follow foundation. The con man son is living a double life. As a family man married to one woman and as a high profile corporate executive, newly married in the show to the daughter of big boss of a major corporation and he’s running a con in both lives.

Bob Allen plays James Wolk the kid con man but the two solid cast members are the incredible Jon Voight and David Keith. And Andie McDowell has a recurring role in the new series which I give an ‘A’ for the first go round. We’ll have to see if the whole con thing can sustain itself over the long term. One season is fine but when that con game is over where do the writers and producers go once a icon like Jon Voight goes away?

We shall see oh we shall see! Anyway this is worth an hour of your time.
