‘Letterman’ Blackmailer Gets Emmy Nomination
Well if this isn’t one of the reasons why people hate people in the entertainment business.
You’re broke. You wife is hitting you up for major child support. Your dimwit girlfriend is doing the nasty with a married nighttime talk host and you decide to blackmail David Letterman for a million or so bucks because of it, then you get busted in a sting, become a late night joke in the media world, plead guilty to the charge and then head off to the pokey to do your time.
Next thing you get is a News and Documentary Emmy nomination.
Robert “Joe” Halderman was one of four producers on the ’48 Hours’ story about Amanda Knox who got busted in Italy for murder. So this is a story about one moron doing a story on an dingbat student that got convicted of killing someone in a foreign country and whining about it.
Dumb and dumber we should call the two.
What’s really sad is that the the other three producers names never get mentioned in any stories you read. Thank you major league baseball as we remember the banning of Pete Rose for life in any attempt to get to the Baseball Hall of Fame because he bet on games he coached.
Interesting world, huh.
