Larry King’s Next Gig Could Be Sports

And what a real good move.  He may be like 80 years old or something but Larry King, the ‘King’ of good, quality talk television and radio back in the day, may be doing some commentary or play by play for baseball at a sports network real soon.

And how refreshing.  After Rush Limbaugh’s failed laughable attempt to do football on ESPN and Dennis Miller’s joke of a play by play try on the NFL’s ‘Monday Night Football,’ the use of an icon like Larry King could have what I call the ‘Bob Costas effect’ on baseball.

That Bob Costas know sports and really knows baseball.  Major League Baseball would benefit greatly by using Larry King in some way and it would even be a smart idea to use him during this fall’s post season schedule.

‘Broadcasting and Cable’s Ben Grossman ran in to Larry King and the talk show genius says that except for a sore hip and shortness of breath, he’s ready to get back in to television at some point after he leaves CNN.  And doing a radio show again is not out of the question cause these days most top talk radio hosts work in their pajamas from home doing radio.

King has already been a guest on the MLB Network since announcing his retirement from CNN.
