Kyra Sedgwick Finally Gets Her Props for ‘The Closer’
It’s about time. She’s just awesome in the role and after five years Kyra Sedgwick finally got her Emmy award for her work in TNT’s ‘The Closer.’ And this season’s set of shows in a prime example of why she deserved and the words “thank you, thank you very much,” one of her classic lines in the series should follow after so many years of being nominated and not getting the prize.
Her run as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on ‘The Closer’ keeps getting better and better especially this season as she competes with her immediate boss Assistant Chief Will Pope (J.K. Simmons) for a promotion to the top job at the LAPD. It’s a solid side story and great to watch.
Five years too long but she’ll take it!
