Katy Perry, Amy Poehler Headline Premiere of ‘Saturday Night Live’
We just can’t seem to stop writing about Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber on this TV site. These music mega stars just keep getting juice on RealTVCritics.com and why not. They do more TV than most in the music business outside of their videos and here comes some more.
The incredible Katy Perry (who quite frankly I like her a bit more than Lady Gaga, probably since ‘California Gurls’ rocks my iPod) will open the 36th season of ‘Saturday Night Live’ on NBC. And once again why not? Her second CD titled Teenage Dream,’ a title that makes me think of the cover of any ‘Ohio Players’ album, is right now number one on the Billboard charts.
If my mother wonders why I turned out like I am, remember those ‘Ohio Players’ album covers Mommy!?!?
The Players were number one of the soul charts but Katy Perry has had one of the most incredible summers of her career. She’s the musical guest while Amy Poehler from ‘Parks and Recreation’ returns to SNL as the show’s host. The new season of SNL starts September 25th.
