Kara DioGuardi, Jewel ‘Going Platinum’ on Bravo
Certainly didn’t take Kara DioGuardi to get back to work. In a nice way. You can’t blame her for the mess she went through as a former judge on FOX’s ‘American Idol.’ That show needed an immediate jolt and with the Ellen DeGeneres fiasco that didn’t work for ‘Idol’ Kara happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And FOX could have done a better job in letting her go. Like maybe call her to let her know that you’re letting her go. Just a thought. And all those clowns over at FOX News Channel complained about how Juan Williams was dismissed byt NPR. What a bunch of hypocrites.

Meantime get ready for ‘Going Platinum’ from Bravo where Kara returns to work with singer, songwriter Jewel both as judges to work with hopeful talent looking to break in to the music business and write their first big hit. Jewel will actually host the new series while Kara will serve as head judge. 12 contestants will start with the final winner getting $100,000 and a record deal from RCA/Jive music.
Production on 10 episodes is underway in Los Angeles. The show is expected to air sometime in 2011.
