6000 episodes with a bullet. That’s where the second hottest gameshow is headed as ‘Jeopardy’ moves in to season 27 this year.
So what’s the hottest gameshow on television? You gotta say ‘Wheel of Fortune’ since this show continues to bring in a little over 9 million viewers a night.
But Alex Trebek’s ‘Jeopardy’ is not that far behind with over 7 million viewers a night and after so many years on the air these two show have become a staple of the 7PM hour all across the country.
If you’ve never heard of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ or ‘Jeopardy’ welcome to America.
Both shows are produced by Sony and quite frankly haven’t changed much over the years. They have always been what is called “stripped” meaning one follows the other with ‘Wheel’ usually in the lead at 7PM.
As a user of these shows from an advertising standpoint, both shows are incredible for getting response and I always suggest to advertisers to stock up on using both ‘Wheel’ and ‘Jeopardy.’ Viewers tend to pay so much attention to what’s going on in these shows that it creates a great environment for selling product.
