Jennifer Hudson Talks Family Murder on 'Oprah' (Video)

This is why we are going to miss Oprah Winfrey.  Who else would get this interview that aired today on her show?  Yeah, no one.  Ya think Jennifer Hudson is going to call Anderson Cooper to talk about the horrific murder of her family in Chicago back in October of 2008?

No way.  Oprah you will be missed.  Please take some hours over at OWN so that we have some quality in daytime TV.

Please.  We need interviews like today’s with Jennifer Hudson.

20110204-jennifer-hudson-promo-1-430x330That’s what the American Idol and much thinner singer did today on ‘Oprah’ and it was one of those shows that only Oprah could pull off.  Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and 7 year old nephew were violently murdered by the estranged husband of her sister Julia.  He’s been charged with first degree murder in the case.

“It’s a lot to take in,” Hudson told Oprah Winfrey today.  Through tears and anguish Hudson continued, “Did this really happen?  It’s hard to put this in sync with reality.”

Hudson had previously declined to discuss the incident to anyone.  But the ‘Queen of Daytime’ is the first person to get Jennifer to go on record about her reaction to the murders of her family members.
