Jeff Goldblum Out of ‘Criminal Intent’

You really don’t know how to take him in his role on ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent.’  Sometimes he’s brilliant while others he can be quite annoying and doesn’t seem to fit the role.  Nevertheless his part on the show is coming to an end after two seasons with ‘Intent’ as Goldblum has called it quits to return to the stage.  And the show looks like it’s headed in to its final season.

jeff-goldblumNellie Andreeva over at Deadline.com reports that USA Network and NBC looked at several scenarios including renewing the program for a couple of seasons but it looks like ‘Intent’ will get nothing more than an 8 episode order for its 10th arc which is no doubt its last.

And a lot on getting even the final season hinges on the availability of former performers returning including Vincent Donofrio, Jr.  This cancellation follows the loss of the original ‘Law & Order’ this year and the first season of ‘Law & Order: Los Angeles’ which hits NBC in September.
