I’m ‘Coming Out’ of The Closet Reality Show

Diana Ross should get some cash for this one.  At least a residual or two from the diva’s 80′s hit “I’m Coming Out” which is now becoming is one of those blasts from the past as a new show on A&E will look at those in the gay and lesbian community that have decided to let the world know about their sexual identity.

Welcome to Hollywood.  And welcome to the world of who really cares who gay and lesbian in America anymore.

But this does make for good TV.  A&E is on board with PR mogul Howard Bragman to develop a one hour reality show highlighting celebrities that have officially come out of the closet.  Bragman who is the lead guy in Fifteen Minutes, a PR company, has helped talent like Chaz Bono and Meredith Baxter deal with their same sex attraction issues which again aren’t really a big deal in the entertainment business.

A tear comes to the eye as Meredith Baxter, who was Meredith Baxter Birney then, was always a heterosexual’s man’s MILF back in the day on ‘Family Ties’ when that show ran on NBC.

OK we’re back!

Bragman told PR Newswire that he is looking for “the best stories” to highlight in the special and that “this is the first chance I had to do something empowering”  with ‘Coming Out’ and that some of his own clients that he helped to come out may be a part of the show.
