“I felt disrespected” as Craig T. Nelson Talks ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Parenthood’ on ‘Access Hollywood’ (Video)
It’s all about the Benjamins baby according to veteran actor Craig T. Nelson with an amazing admission on ‘Access Hollywood Live’ this week. Hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover spoke with the guy who plays the patriarch on NBC’s ‘Parenthood’ about why he turned down Ed O’Neill’s character on ‘Modern Family’ to take his current part as ‘Zeek Braverman.’
You gotta watch this video from the show because what he says is surprising but if you’re Craig T. Nelson you can get away with it, maybe?

“Money…in Hollywood the salaries have gone way, way down. We’re in the middle of a cutback here” he says during the chat with Bush and Hoover.
And there’s more he says as “I just felt disrespected,” with what the producers offered him for ‘Modern Family’ and Nelson turned down the role.
‘Modern Family’ has been a monster hit for ABC while ‘Parenthood’ has struggled to get decent ratings but is now moving to Tuesday night on NBC where they hope the popularity of the show will improve.
