HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ with the (Put An NFL Team Name Here) Can’t Find a Home

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the first team asked to participate in the HBO series Hard Knocks which spends the summer with an NFL team during summer camp.  Heck with the success of last year’s New York Jets, who were featured last year, you would think some team would jump at the opportunity, right?

Tampa Bay is a comer and could use all the help they can get but nope, they told HBO to take a hike.  Or is that a spike?

hard-knocks-logoThe producers of the show said “thanks’ and took their pitch to the Denver Broncos.  Yeah, they could use the help as well since it’s another team that’s a comer and you would think with the Jets getting to the AFC Championship they would oblige and say “yes” to HBO’s Hard Knocks, right?

Nope.

Denver turned them down as well according to ESPN.

Now Denver is a team that took the Obama Administration strategy of transparency since superstar quarterback John Elway took over the day to day management of the team.  The Broncos showed video of their process to interview for a new coach but apparently they are not ready to show all which is what teams that participate in the show have to do.

“We are going to pass,” said a spokesperson for the Denver Broncos.

Now what?  The summer is almost here, July is when team players begin to report to mini-camp and HBO has nothing to show so far.

Houston we have a problem.
