‘HawthoRNe’ Renewed, ‘Dark Blue’ Waiting, TNT

Jada Pinkett Smith will get to have her baby.  On TNT that is.  Will Smith would be really ticked otherwise.  And you don’t want to tick off a kid from West Philly.  She told her beau in the series ‘HawthoRNe’ that she was carrying his baby and that he did not need to hear “you are the father!” from Maury Povich.

In fact he said nothing as she whispered it in his ear.  Didn’t get the chance to pass out or ask “so who’s the lucky father” and yet he may have the chance to do that as ‘HawthoRNe’ got picked up for another set of 10 episodes on TNT.

All according to Nellie Andreeva over at Deadline.com who also is waiting, like all of us, on the fate of ‘Dark Blue’ which I have to admit is my favorite series on TNT.

I’ve already talked about ‘The Closer’ and ‘Rizzoli and Isles’ which both were part of a ‘no brainer’ for TNT to renew.  So you have three hot shows with solid female leads which is perfect for a female audience and then you have the truly rough and tumble ‘Dark Blue’ which is really male focused no matter how much Dylan McDermott and Tricia Helfer use cuffs on each other and bump nasties in this solid series.

TNT claims to know drama and have some of the best dramas on cable.  C’mon ‘Dark Blue!’
