The loud mouth, foul mouth of Howard Stern could be coming to Fox if the producers of ‘American Idol’ has their way. Word is floating all around the TV world that the legendary shock jock is being courted by Fox to replace Simon Cowell on the massive ratings juggernaut which propelled this network to its number one status.
And what a smart move. Two moves by bringing Ellen DeGeneres to the judges table to replace Paula Abdul. Ellen, who has a solid following with her daytime show, will sit in for the first time next week. You can read more of that below.
Stern said on his radio show that ‘Idol’ approached him and at this point no deal is on the table. In fact Stern says no deal is imminent but we all know what that means. Howard Stern is in the last year of his radio deal with XM Sirius radio and that great contract may go away as the stock price for that company hasn’t even hit a dollar.
