Get Ready for Higher Cable Bills, NBC-Comcast Merger Will Cost Us All

Aren’t cable bills high enough?  Well here’s what you can do before the NBC-Comcast merger.  Cancel your cable until you can come back as a new customer.  Cable services are really cheap now.  Or tell them you will cancel unless you get a better cost for their service.  They’ll negotiate.  They always do.

That’s for now.

The next ten years, well expect to get hit high and hard by cable fees with the coming merger of mega-network NBC and mega-cable service provider Comcast.  The American Cable Association says that your cable service is going to cost you $2.4 billion dollars over the next ten years because this behemoth is going to jack up fees all over the place and it will go up against our wallets.

They’re calling it “consumer harm” and you’re about to get jacked.  Rivals of Comcast-NBC like DirecTV or Time Warner Cable, will have to pay extra fees to carry NBC programming.  Which includes USA Network and Bravo and means these rivals will have to pay more to carry these networks because you can’t miss ”Burn Notice’ or ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County.’

Those costs will be turned over to you and me.  Watch your purses.  Here comes more cable fees over the next ten years.

Here’s the link for you to read more about this.  Not a fun story to read if you don’t like spending money on cable television.
