Well NBC has had the Olympics for 10 years which seems like forever but this winter Olympics broadcast on the network is set to bring them a huge loss in ad dollars.  Close to $250,000,000 is the projected loss for NBC and while these ad numbers are staggering, Fox and ESPN are looking to put in bids for the broadcasts.

CBS and Time Warner are also looking at putting in a bid for the games in 2014 and 2016.  Rights to this year’s games in Vancouver are running NBC about $820,000,000 and this is one of the toughest economic ad periods in history.
