‘Father Albert’ Not ‘Fat Albert’ Gets a Talk Show
Yes a priest is getting a talk show. Heck we have a minister who snorted meth and slept with a male prostitute getting a reality show on TLC. Why not a Catholic priest who wanted to get married and hung out with one of his female parishioners getting a daytime show.
This one has instant failure written all over it. Let’s say “DOA” as in “Dead On Arrival.”
Father Albert Cutie, the good looking ‘former’ Catholic priest who left the clergy after begging to get married, is getting a shot at daytime TV with FOX television stations and others wanting to carry the summertime show.
Now remember these are the same group of stations that tried to launch Fran Drescher’s daytime talk that was pretty awful and that show was dumped after three weeks. So now Father Albert gets his show. Or should we say Albert gets his shot as ‘Digital Guy,’ responding to the story on TV Biz Wire, notes that Al is “no longer a Catholic priest.”
Thanks ‘Digital Guy’ for that important notification.
Yeah this one has failure written all over it but you gotta give it to the people who think of these these shows as there really is nothing else really creative that’s new in daytime. And this is going to be truly boring once Oprah and Regis are off their respective shows.
